The Dying Bird
This dance piece is an excerpt from Overexposed, a show that was produced and directed by David Gouldie. Featuring Casey Swales and Kai Pretorius, the edit is stitched together using footage shot on various nights of the production. It was a little tricky creating a cohesive whole out of the fragments I had at my disposal but I got it done and I hope it does justice to the beautiful dancing. Although I try to avoid editing gimmicks, I did use some particle overlays which I thought worked quite well without being obviously added in post production.
